Vera Brunner-Sung is a filmmaker centrally concerned with the way personal and social histories are channeled through landscape and the built environment. Her work has been presented at numerous festivals internationally, including the Torino Film Festival, CPH:DOX, San Francisco International Film Festival, Images Festival, and the Onion City Experimental Film and Video Festival. Her critical writing has appeared in Sight & Sound, Moving Image Source, Cinema Scope, Senses of Cinema, and Art Lies. She has lectured in the Visual Arts Department at the University of California, San Diego, and is currently adjunct assistant professor at the University of Montana.
